GAME TV begins to air Battle of the Clans

The GAME and Turtle Beach Battle of the Clans competition is underway, and coverage of the events is now rolling out on GAME TV.

The heats have been held at the Beresford in Sydney, and are the grand final is set to take place in Homebush later in September.

Weekly coverage of each of the heats can be seen on GAME TV, where fourteen clans have been competing for a year’s corporate sponsorship in both Call of Duty: Black Ops and Halo: Reach.

Ben Grant, marketing director for GAME Australia, said: "We have been inundated with entries, but also emails of gratitude from teams across Australia, Scandinavia and America, for helping promote something gamers are clearly passionate about, and for the media coverage we have generated for this sport."

The Battle of the Clans is part of GAME’s wider strategy to have its brand recognised as a part of an experience more than just a retailer, and is complemented by large, in-store playable booths were consumers can get their hands on games with 3D TVs, Microsoft Kinect and Playstation Move, as well as traditional games.
