Indian games giant Gameshastra has established a foothold in Europe with a new office in London.
The European team is headed up by industry veteran Martin Ogden and will help the firm expand its digital publishing and outsource services on an international scale.
We’re really looking to establish ourselves in the global marketplace,” said Ogden, Gameshastra’s head of Europe.
We’ve got Asia and India covered and we have operations in the US already. We’re just establishing an operation in Japan now, so the missing piece in the puzzle was Europe.”
The core focus of the company’s European expansion will be its digital publishing business, which has already seen Gameshastra establish itself on Apple’s App Store, Sony’s PSN Minis and on various smartphones.
In two months time, the firm will be pushing this business in all territories and finding products that resonate well in Europe will be key to its success.
Gameshastra is already one of the largest games companies in India, but we want to step into the premier league of digital publishing,” said Ogden.
