GameStop: 2.3m customers still waiting for PS4

GameStop has announced its allocation of PS4 consoles has run dry, and still some 2.3m customers are waiting for new stock to arrive.

Game Informer reports the retailer revealed the figure during an earnings call yesterday, following the release of its Q3 financial report.

The firm also stated that it anticipates long lines for the imminint launch of Xbox One.

Sony’s new hardware moved 1m units in its initial 24 hours on shelves in US and Canada, with the firm projecting 3m sales by the end of the year and 5m by the end of its fiscal year (March 31st, 2014).

PS4 launches in Europe, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand next week.
