Infinity Blade III announced, launching alongside iPhone 5S release

The third and final installment in the Infinity Blade series will land next week, launching alongside the iPhone 5S.

Chair CEO Donald Mustard revealed, during Apple’s event today in California, that the game will arrive on the App Store on September 18th – just two days before the release of the iPhone 5S and 5C and a day after the launch of iOS 7.

Mustard explained that the 5S’s new 64-bit A7 processor makes it the perfect device to debut the newest installment of the iOS-exclusive franchise. The title packs two playable characters and eight playable worlds that are each larger than the entire area of the first game.

Infinity Blade III will be priced at $6.99 and playable on the iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S and 4, the iPad 2 and above, the iPad Mini and 4th and 5th generations of iPod Touch devices.

The game’s predecessor Infinity Blade II has garnered over 50m downloads on the App Store (as of July of this year).
