Latest ABCs show mixed fortunes

The latest circulation figures from ABC are out, with readers of Nintendo, PlayStation and PC magazines down.

Future’s Official Nintendo Magazine has seen its readership slide 12.8 per cent to 51,271, while NGamer has seen its readers drop by nearly 30 per cent, down from 17,801 to 12,499.

Future’s PC magazines are also down. PC Gamer has lost 18.8 per cent of its readers, down from 32,619 to 26,487. Meanwhile, PC Zone saw the heftiest drop, down 40.3 per cent to 11,357 consumers.

Official PlayStation Magazine readers also fell, down 12.3 per cent to 47,033. Imagine’s Play magazine saw its audience tumble 9.1 per cent to 24,062, while Future’s PSM3 readers dropped 19 per cent to 21,224.

But, Future’s long-running multiformat magazine Edge made a slight gain, up 0.4 per cent to 29,007.

Imagine and Uncooked also saw some gains, with their Xbox magazines up.

Imagine’s X360 magazine saw readers rise 1.8 per cent year-on-year to 26,532, while 360 magazine saw its audience increase 9.1 per cent year-on-year to 14,116. Uncooked’s 360 Gamer saw its readers increase 2.5 per cent from 18,073 to 18,527.

However, Future’s Official Xbox Magazine and Xbox World 360 are down. Official Xbox suffered a 4.8 per cent drop to 60,834, while Xbox World 360 suffered a 16.6 per cent drop in buyers to 25,874.

Games Master also suffered, dropping 16.2 per cent of its audience to 34,313, while Imagine’s GamesTM saw readers decline 7.7 per cent to 20,013.
