O-Games expands as John Daly nears

UK-based publisher O-Games has announced two key additions to its team ahead of the release of John Daly’s ProStroke Golf.

Tina Moore joins the firm as a consultant and will be responsible for the marketing strategy behind O-Games’ key releases. She has previously held senior positions at Sega, Ubisoft, Take-Two and Microsoft.

The sales team has recruited Claire Mercer as commercial manager. She has also worked for a number of high profile publishers, leaving her position as sales and marketing director for Capcom Europe.

We have put together a great publishing team in our head office in the UK and our Q4 line-up is the strongest we have had for some time,” O-Games’ CEO Jim Scott told MCV.

Both Moore and Mercer will be working on the launch of John Daly, which launches on 360, PS3 and PC next month.

Scott said the publisher plans to heavily support [the game] at launch and throughout its lifecycle to further establish the brand”. This will begin with a strong promotional push around the game’s release.

We will be generating sound, heavyweight campaigns to support this title across TV, radio, and print media,” he said.

As a smaller publisher it is always harder for us to establish a new IP at retail, so we are working closely with our partners to ensure John Daly’s ProStroke Golf is being supported to enable it to deliver its full potential.

The fact that the PS3 version is fully compatible
with PlayStation Move and launching within the Move’s first wave of titles means we are able to work closely with – and capitalise on – Sony’s launch plans.”

John Daly’s ProStroke Golf will be released on October 8th.
