2015 PAX Aus now accepting submissions for Indie Showcase

PAX Australia Indie Showcase Submissions Open

PAX Australia is accepting submissions for the 2015 edition of its Indie Showcase today.

Submissions for the showcase, which has previously featured games like Antichamber, DUET, Screencheat and Assault Android Cactus, open today and continue until July 6th.

Six titles will be chosen and showcased at the event, which runs from October 30 until November 1st in Melbourne. The winners will be featured in promotional materials for the convention, including in the showguide, website, social media, and on the front page of Penny-Arcade.com. They will also receive access to the event and floor space to showcase their game.

“It’s one of the most exciting elements of the show”, says PAX Aus Content & Community Manager Guy ‘Yug’ Blomberg. “It’s a great way to showcase what the local scene is capable of, and each title gets quite a bit of global recognition”.

Entry fees for the competition are $50 and must meet three eligibility requirements;

  • A. You are an independent developer without a traditional publisher-developer relationship in place.
  • B. You cannot be funded by an outside party, goverment grants and crowd sourcing excluded.
  • C. All games must be in at least beta form.

You can get more details regarding the competition via the submission site.
