Studio valued at £2 million after being listed on New Connect share market

Polish dev Vivid procures $1m funding

Independent developer Vivid Games has secured $1 million in venture capitalist investment to expand its European operations.

The Poland outfit said it aimed to use the funding to open new offices, scale up its London and Poland studios with more staff and work on original IP.

The company has also been listed on the New Connect share market, run by the Warsaw Stock Exchange, valuing the developer at approximately £2 million.

“The capital we will be able to raise through this funding round is essential for us to grow as quickly as we need to if we are to grab the massive opportunity in front of us,” said Vivid Games CEO Remigiusz Koscielny.

“We can now focus on growing our development teams in Poland, scale up our studio in London, and most importantly, invest much more in developing our own IP and build a proper multi-platform approach to all of our games.

“As we’ve seen from the announcements at E3, the console business is still strong, and with the explosion in mobile and social gaming, it’s an exciting and challenging time to be in the games business.”

Vivid Games has previously worked on handheld and mobile games such as NCIS, Paperboy and Speedway GP 2012.
