Rockstar Steams up

Another publishing superstar has climbed aboard the Steam bandwagon with news that Rockstar is to offer its PC catalogue on Valve’s ever-growing downloads service.

Ten games are available to buy online now – GTA, GTA2, GTA3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, Midnight Club II, Max Payne, Max Payne 2, Wild Metal Country and Manhunt.

There’s a ten per cent discount available on each game until January 11th, or if you’re feeling cheeky you can download the entire lot for $62.95 – an excellent deal considering the quality of some of the titles.

"We were immediately excited by the opportunity to offer our PC catalogue via Steam because it allows us to reach out to gamers around the world in exciting new ways," Rockstar’s head of finance and corporate development Rowan Hajaj stated.

"We are continually looking for ways to give back to our fans and this collaboration will give people a chance to easily revisit some of our greatest titles."

Other publishers riding Valve’s digital wave include Eidos, Activision, THQ, Sega and 2K Games.
