Casual games giant Rovio Mobile has purchased fellow Finland games company Futuremark Games, the group has announced.
Financial terms of the buyout were not disclosed.
Futuremark has experience in building a range of iOS, PC and Mac games, and boasts a sales office in California. The company also creates PC benchmarking software such as 3DMark and PCMark.
Rovio chief Mikael Hed praised Futuremark as an “incredibly talented and experienced team”.

Futuremark CEO Jukka Mäkinen said the firm will now focus on supporting gamers and industry with 3DMark, our professional grade benchmark which, in a new version to be released later this year, will allow unified gaming performance comparison across operating systems and form factors for the first time.
