Sega 3D Classics coming to retail, includes four new titles

Nine retro Sega titles are being bundled for a retail release on 3DS.

Five of the titles in the Sega 3D Classics Collection have previously been made available digitally on the platform – Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Galaxy Force II, Thunderblade and Fantasy Zone II W.

Also included are Power Drift and Puyo Puyo 2, neither of which have been previously released outside Japan. Both will be presented in Japanese, too, with English instructions available in the digital manual.

In addition there are two Master System ports never released on 3DS before – Maze Walker and Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa

The ports have been handled by M2 and will presumably, like previous 3D Classics, make use of the Nintendo handheld’s stereoscopic 3D screen.

Sega 3D Classic has a US release date of April 26th and a price of $29.99. There will also be an America-only digital release for the SKU. There’s no word yet on the European release date.
