Silent Hill HD Collection goes multiplatform

GAMESCOM: Konami has confirmed that its Silent Hill HD Collection will now be released both on Xbox 360 as well as PS3.

The publisher had initially claimed the game was bound for PS3 only. However, speaking to Joystiq the producer of Silent Hill: Downpour Tomm Hulett said that the company changed its mind following a fan outcry about the PlayStation exclusivity.

The SKU itself will contain visually remastered 720p versions of both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, as well as Trophy support and newly recorded voice-overs.

The game is penned in for some time later this year. Hulett was unable to confirm if both platforms would release simultaneously.
