Simulation game magazine hits shelves

Fans of Farming Simulator can now keep up-to-date with simulation games via a new magazine.

Specialist boxed PC game publisher Excalibur has launched World of Simulations, a quarterly 4.99 publication that arrives later this month. It will be sold in computer outlets across the UK and in other territories including Scandinavia, South Africa and the Netherlands, with Australia and New Zealand expected to stock it shortly.

Amazon and other etailers will publish a downloadable version of the 48-page magazine on their websites, while www.worldof simulations.co.uk has been set up. The publisher expects to produce around 25,000 copies per quarter, with some 8,000 posted to registered Excalibur fans.

The installed base for EA’s The Sims is in the region of five million, therefore the expected interest for the World of Simulations magazine is absolutely massive,” Excalibur’s MD Robert Stallibrass told MCV. If we’re successful, we will look to publish more magazines in 2012.”
