Skyrim 1.4 update to address PS3 stuttering bug

This month’s 1.4 patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will finally address the PS3 stutter bug, Bethesda has claimed.

It made the assurance on Twitter.

A fix for the game, which was released worldwide on November 11th last year, was released in early December, but failed to address the highly publicised stutter problems on PS3.

The attention afforded to the bug – which cripples the frame rate on PS3 as the size of the save file increases – has gained increasing attention online, and Bethesda’s silence on the issue had lead some to lose hope that anything would be done about it.

The wait is now on to see if Bethesda can finally quash the problem once and for all.
