UK studio Rebellion has lifted the lid on the fourth instalment in the Sniper Elite series.
Sniper Elite 4 will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC some time this year. The series has to date sold over 10m units worldwide. 1080p is promised on both console platforms.
The game is set in the aftermath of the events depicted by its predecessor, taking place in Italy in 1943. Players will aid the plight of the Italian resistance.
Developer Rebellion has promised a new game engine freed of last-gen constraints featuring sun-drenched mediterranean coastal towns, to colossal Nazi megastructures, daunting forests and giddying mountain monasteries inspired by Monte Cassino”.
Confirmed are a single player campaign along with co-op and online multiplayer.
