London , UK – 3 rd January, 2012 – Over the Christmas period Firefly Studios gave away more than 3,000,000 in-game items as prizes in the Stronghold Kingdoms Christmas Giveaway.
After logging in, players of the free-to-play online strategy game were greeted with 20 days of free prizes and festive graphics. In that time a massive 3,300,000 cards were snatched up, in addition to 125,000 rare Premium Tokens which were handed out to Lords and Ladies of English, German, French and Russian descent. The competition was made available across all game worlds and lasted until 1 st January 2013.
Nick Tannahill, Marketing Manager at Firefly Studios is ecstatic about the response from players. “This is the first time we have run a full seasonal event in Stronghold Kingdoms and it’s fantastic to have such a positive response from players. You can certainly look forward to more events in 2013”. Over 140,000 players took part in the competition, some winning 100 strategy cards or more.
