The Paris video game studio Le Cortex is launching its very first independent game for Neo-Geo in December 2013: Crouching Pony Hidden Dragon.

Crouching Pony Hidden Dragon is an innovative shoot’em up for the SNK console. In this overhead multidirectional run and gun, inspired by Shock Troopers and Ninja Commando, the player moves through a mature and extremely strange universe operating the fiery duo: Ninja Pony and Biki Ninja.

Crouching Pony Hidden Dragon is to be released in a limited edition of only 250 copies. The game boasts an original production process with new hybrid AES/MVS cartridges (no recycling of older media).

Crouching Pony Hidden Dragon can be pre-ordered as of today at: www.lecortex.com/CPHD.

For all orders received before 15 November, Le Cortex is offering the Collector’s Edition for the same price as the Standard Edition.

The two founders of the Le Cortex studio confirm that there many reasons to develop a game for the NEO-GEO platform in 2013:

We at Le Cortex are convinced that we boast an exceedingly solid background with Ninja Pony . What could be better, in terms of establishing our reputation and our legitimacy, than to release our game on the best console of all time?” asserts Johan Spielmann, Game Designer. “And furthermore, we pushed the envelope with regard to experience by creating a development kit that we will be making available to the gaming community, as well as a production process for new cartridges.” adds Frédéric Sommer, Project Director.

The future is still now!
