A Stunning 10M in Overseas Monthly Revenue by Kunlun

Riding the momentum of their entry into the client game market, browser game company Kunlun Inc. recently announced that revenue from the overseas market exceeded 10M USD in August. The company has set the target revenue for 2011 at 800M RMB (123M USD), which is considered the highest amongst all Chinese browser game companies.

Since entering the overseas market in 2008, Kunlun has published several self-developed games including Clash of Kingdoms, Three Kingdoms Online, King of Kungfu, CEO Dream, Chronicles of Merlin, and Indomitus. In addition to the company’s in-house products, Kunlun has also cooperated with other developers and published such popular games as Call of Gods and Dynasty Saga, the latter of which has now become the no. 1 game in the Japanese browser game market.

In an interview with the vice president of Kunlun, Jianliang Li, the revenue from the overseas market was confirmed to have exceeded 10M USD, with 20% originating from the newly explored markets of Japan and Korea. Kunlun has also announced that the company received a strategic investment of about 46M USD from a group headed by Huawei, the second largest internet device manufacturer in China. Both companies expressed delight in having reached several strategic cooperation agreements, including joint expansion into the overseas market.

Koramgame Ltd, a subsidiary of Kunlun Inc., has successfully launched five games in the North American market, including Clash of Kingdoms, Three Kingdoms Online, Dynasty Saga, Chronicles of Merlin and Indomitus. With over 200M subscribers already, Koramgame continues to aggressively expand into the North American market.
