Alien Breed™ 3: Descent launches today, Wednesday 17th November

Today, Team17 are delighted to announce the release of Alien Breed 3: Descent , the final chapter of the Alien Breed TM trilogy on Xbox TM LIVE Arcade and for PC, via Steam. Gamers who have been following the plight of Theodore Conrad, chief engineer aboard the spacecraft Leopold, will no doubt jump at the chance to finish the fight in explosive and frenetic style. New set pieces, weapons, new co-op and“Survivor” mode levels and enemies await the player on their journey into the depths of the alien vessel that collided with the Leopold. Lying in wait is a foe even Conrad himself could not have imagined…

“The third and final installment, Alien Breed 3: Descent , marks a climatic end to a trilogy of which we are extremely proud”, says Paul Dunstan, Senior Designer at Team17 Software Ltd.“Amongst the fearsome new aliens and goliath bosses to battle, the environment itself will challenge how you compete for survival; from the turbulently violent space station’s exterior hull, to the rapidly flooding decks as it submerges into the crushing depths of an icy ocean.”

An Alien Breed 3: Descent demo is also to be available on both platforms from launch; a purpose-designed, action-packed free trial called“The Prologue”, which also features a time-limited“Survivor” mode map.

About Alien Breed:

Alien Breed TM , recognized as one of the foremost Amiga games ever released, was launched in 1991, developed and published by Team17 Software Ltd. It proved an instant success, with the Special Edition version spending an incredible 33 unbroken weeks at the top of the UK Sales Charts. A sequel was released in 1993 (Alien Breed 2) and a 3D edition, both of which won numerous awards. The well-loved series had lain dormant for 14 years, until December 2009, when it arrived in stunning fashion with the production-heavy 'Alien Breed Evolution' on Xbox 360 LIVE Arcade achieving Christmas No. 2 sales position on Xbox 360 LIVE Arcade.
