Ante Up: Vegas Strip City Coming to Android

NEW YORK - May 24, 2011

Mobile social games developer Astro Ape Studios announced today the international release of their first Android title, Vegas Strip City. Developed exclusively for DeNA’s Mobage social gaming platform, the Japanese version is now available for smartphones across Japan.

Hit the tables for a few hands of Blackjack, Mini Baccarat, and other card games in a beautiful, luxurious casino setting. Players get VIP treatment as they unlock high-stakes tables and gain“Comp” points as they play. Then, they can set out to conquer the Strip as a casino mogul and develop their own dream Strip.

“We’re excited about developing for Android and also excited about bringing localized versions of our titles to Japan and throughout Asia,” said Astro Ape CEO Chieh Huang.“We had a tight deadline and developed Vegas Strip City in only six weeks, but our designers fully captured the rich, plush feel of a high-end Vegas experience in vivid detail. The game is all about bringing the glitz and glamour of the high life to everyone, so it’s a perfect pairing with the amazing Android devices now coming to market.”

Vegas Strip City is slated for a US release in June.
