Apple Approves Perma-death Game Sequels

Brisbane, September 1, 2011 - FreshTone Games today announced two new sequels for its best-selling iPhone game series ‘One Single Life’.

‘One Single Life World Tournament’ will be released on September 5 with ‘One Single Life 2’ set to follow soon after on September 15.

The original game – with over 2.6 million downloads – resulted in an unprecedented divide in gamer opinion and according to its creator, the love-hate relationship is set to continue.

“I love the fact that One Single Life creates such passionate reactions from gamers, both positive and negative” says Anthony O’Dempsey, referring to the game’s controversial single life premise. “And the majority of our customers have been so incredibly supportive that we decided to design a tournament mode especially for our fans.”

Indeed, fans of the series are certainly in for a treat.

World Tournament alone is no ordinary game update. An international event in its own right, players from around the world will race to see who can score 1 million points first. The prize? FreshTone Games is currently tight-lipped on the subject of the Grand Prize but have confirmed that free copies of the highly anticipated genuine sequel, One Single Life 2, will be awarded to the 50 quickest contestants. And although the rules from the original game have been bent – a 30 minute lock-out replacing permanent death for instance – the thrill attached to the consequence of jumping has never been greater.

And if World Tournament is the appetiser then One Single Life 2 is surely going to be the main event. Ten awe inspiring new jump locations, a hidden game mode complete with secret ending, death-cam replays, leaderboards and achievements… the list goes on.

One Single Life World Tournament though is where it all starts.

Grab your free entry to this thrill-a-minute ride, 9am EDT September 5 from the iPhone App Store.
