LONDON – September 6, 2012 – After only 3 weeks on the App Store, the free iOS sports strategy game Fluid Football has already amassed a startling number of fans.
The game has comfortably broken 400,000 downloads since launch, and thousands of new players continue to discover the game every day. Fluid Football ascended to the Number One position of the iPhone Sports Game charts in 18 countries the world over, and became the No. 1 Free App in Portugal, and the No. 2 Free App in the UK, Italy and Argentina. Fluid Football was eagerly embraced by football fans in the UK as its launch coincided with the start of the new football season - a smart move that helped catapult it into the UK charts, but it has largely been word of mouth – and hence the quality of the game – that has driven its success throughout the rest of the world.
To celebrate Fluid Football’s tremendous success, AppyNation have launched a sale within the game. Players can now purchase the Euro Cup Pack, comprising a massive 128 new levels, for just £1.49 GBP ($1.99 USD) – and again the response has been fantastic. Football is a perennial passion for both players and fans, so Fluid Football will be enhanced further and with a constant stream of high quality additions, details of which will be announced very soon. If that wasn’t enough, a version of the game for Android-powered devices will be arriving later in October.
“We couldn’t be happier with the way the fans have welcomed Fluid Football into their lives.” said Andy Payne, Citizen 001, AppyNation. “The success we’ve been seeing so far is just the start of things – we’ve got tons of exciting plans for exactly the kind of content football fans are clamouring for, and we’re confident in becoming one of the games of choice for footie fans the world over on mobile.”
Fluid Football is now available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch at http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/id524972269
