Seoul, November 13, 2012 Team ‘eaazy’ from Europe wins the first Arctic Combat World Championship title in an exciting match against the North American team ’For Bianca’. The C9 title was secured by Team Korea.
On November 9 th and November 10 th (GST) the World Championship tournament finals for WEBZEN's games ‘Arctic Combat’ (AC) and ‘Continent of the Ninth Seal’ (C9) were successfully held at Korea's biggest game show G-Star. During the AC World Championship tournament team ‘eaazy’ from Europe clinched the first World Championship title after defeating ’For Bianca’, and entered Arctic Combat’s Hall of Fame, winning the cash prize of $3,000. With a match set up of best ‘2 out of 3’ on ‘Search & Destroy’, team ‘eaazy’ took the first map, ‘Arctic Wind’, taking the lead by 1:0. Without giving ’For Bianca’ a chance to fight back, team ‘eaazy’ easily won the second map, ‘Downtown’, becoming the first World Championship Veterans of AC.
In addition, the C9 World Championship tournaments saw Team Korea rise above the rest, in closely contested matches against four other teams. Competing against Team China in the finals, Team Korea took home the grand prize, claiming the C9 World Championship title to win cash prize of $10,000, without losing a single game and ending the finals with a score of 2:0. Various prizes including gaming peripherals and hardware were awarded to participants.
