Artix Entertainment’s New MMORPG HeroSmash Announces 1 Million Beta Players in First 8 Weeks

LAND O'LAKES, FLORIDA - June 17, 2011– Artix Entertainment, a small, independent game development studio that creates hit F2P (Free-to-Play) download-free browser games played by over 130 million people, announced today its millionth player sign up in MMORPG HeroSmash.

HeroSmash is Artix Entertainment’s newest game. It features Super Villains and Heroes battling against each other for control of strategic locations and items within Super City. Players choose between playing as evil villains or good heroes and then fight to achieve their faction’s goals– whether it is to save helpless townspeople or rob banks.

The game was released into the Beta phase on April 28 th, 2011. Less than two months after the Beta release, HeroSmash already has one million players testing the game.

Like all the other major games from Artix Entertainment, HeroSmash is updated every week with new releases including new zones, missions, bosses, armors, super powers, and more! This week the developers are releasing a series of missions as well as a special shop with lime flashlight-themed items including weapons and costumes in honor of a certain green super-movie that is in theaters now.
