ATARI HIRES LICENSING EXECUTIVE LEE JACOBSON

(Los Angeles, CA) December 16, 2010– Atari, one of the world’s most recognized publishers and producers of interactive entertainment announced today that Lee Jacobson has joined Atari as Senior Vice President of Licensing and Digital Publishing. The announcement was made by Atari President and Deputy CEO, Jim Wilson to whom Jacobson will report. 

Jacobson brings more than 20 years of games industry experience to Atari, where he will oversee worldwide licensing, content and product distribution and IP partnerships. Formerly the vice president of business development and licensing at Midway Games, his responsibilities included global business and new product development, acquisition of video game franchises and studios, and development negotiations on behalf of Midway.

Over the course of his twenty-year interactive entertainment career, Jacobson has supervised global business and new product development, launched new video game franchises, managed external IP and talent licensing, and directed third party developer relations, digital distribution/e-commerce and in-game advertising strategies.
