Halfbrick Introduces All New Gadgets for Jetpack Joyride's Biggest Update Since Launch

BRISBANE, Australia - Mar. 6, 2012 - Strap in and buckle up joyriders! Acclaimed mobile developer Halfbrick today announced the biggest content update for its hit iOS sensation, Jetpack Joyride 1.3 . To enhance Barry Steakfries' escapades, scientists at the "Legitimate Research" laboratory have been busy inventing a massive array of gadgets.

"With over 16 million people playing Jetpack Joyride, we want to continue doing what we do best - awesome updates for our fans." said Phil Larsen, chief marketing officer at Halfbrick. "These achievements and gadgets bring an all-new layer of gameplay and customization that will provide our fans with a unique experience every time they fire up the game."

Gadgets are available for purchase in the Stash, giving more options for players stockpiling those hard-earned coins! Players can also mix and match any two gadgets to suit their own game and goals. The first three announced gadgets include:

  • Air Barrys - Leap gracefully over obstacles with these designer sneakers.
  • Ezy-Dodge Missiles - If you're going to play a game of chicken with a missile, make sure it's an Ezy-Dodge!
  • Free Ride - Stop off at the motor pool before smashing through the laboratory wall. Why didn't Barry think of this earlier?

1.3 will be available as a free update to Jetpack Joyride players during April 2012.

Jetpack Joyride will skyrocket players into the latest adventure featuring the lovable and mischievous hero Barry Steakfries, who captured hearts in previous Halfbrick mobile games, Age of Zombies and Monster Dash. Down on his luck, Barry discovers the ultimate opportunity to turn his boring life into one of adventure, heroics and beach chairs! Inside Legitimate Research filled with jetpacks and mysterious obstacles, he commandeers the fun-fueled technology and literally shoots for the skies on a shower of bullets, rainbows, bubbles and more!

Jetpack Joyride is now available for free on the App store for all iOS devices. To download Jetpack Joyride, check out the official iTunes information page at:
