September 4 2007, London. BAFTA announced today that PC World, the UK’s leading chain of computing superstores, will become the headline sponsor of the British Academy Video Games Awards held on October 23 at Battersea Evolution in London’s Battersea Park.
The British Academy Video Games Awards recognise excellence in games development. This year’s Awards received a record number of entries; 164 titles were entered for consideration across 13 categories resulting in 1028 individual entries, an increase of 66% on last year.
The nominations will be announced on September 25.
