Beloved classic game will reborn on DSiWare in American on December 1st.

Double Bloob is an arcade shooter that revives beloved gameplay principles of classic games like Buster Bros or Cannon Ball where player shoots at bouncing and flying round-shaped enemies that after taking a hit will split in two or more smaller versions of themselves. “We’ve expanded on this concept and introduced as much as eight different enemy types, from intelligent dodgers that fly away from players projectiles to invisible hiders” says Piotr Babieno, produced of the game. “We’ve also upgraded player’s armory and now player can use up to seven different weapons!”

Bloober Team is especially proud of variety of steering capabilities used for different weapon types. “Aiming by either a touch pad or digital buttons is standard nowadays, but blowing enemies off stage by blowing into microphone or using touch screen gestures to create tornados that will suck in enemies is still something that is rather rarely achieved” brags Peter Bielatowicz, one of game designers.

Other features of Double Bloob includes three different shooting modes, 8 different worlds divided into 48 levels that offers more than 8 hours of gameplay.

Double Bloob will be available for 500 DSi points in the DSi Shop for Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL. The Nintendo 3DS version will be available for $4.99 USD in the Nintendo eShop.
