The Biercade Game Jam will promote and encourage the collaboration between artists, designers, composers and programmers to create videogames in 48 hours. It will take place from April 5th through April 7th, 2013 at Biercade in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
All participants will also interact with the general public during Biercade’s normal operating hours, with special events planned to encourage and promote video game developing in the Island. The past Game Jam, held last November produced various successful projects, including the game "Defend the Fawkin Station" by Work in Motion Studios. Defend the Fawkin Station was launched through Kickstarter on Jan 8, 2013. Other projects are on various mstages of development.
Biercade is a concept bar, live music venue and arcade museum that is deeply involved with the video game developing community min Puerto Rico. It is located in the heart of Old San Juan, in a mhistoric 5,000 square feet movie theater.
