Brand on Xbox Live Indie Games is released today at only one third of its price!

Québec, Canada – February 2 – Nine Dots Studio is proud to announce the launch of its first project, Brand, now available on Xbox Live Indie Games. For the next three months, the game will be available at a discount for the very low price of 80 Microsoft Points. It will start selling at its full price of 240 points on March 3.

Brand is a labor of love; it has been in development for ten months by a team of five developers working full time with no salary. The game revolves around a simple sword handed out to the player so that he may upgrade it until it is worthy of a King. There are many ways to increase its power and it is up to the player to choose what abilities he needs. Some powers even combine together to create new effects, granting even more play styles to explore.

Created in Quebec city, Nine Dots Studio is a new independent studio developing video games and trying to make things differently. The founder, Guillaume Boucher-Vidal, left his full-time job working for a big publisher in November 2010 with the intention to show the video game Industry that you can make a successful business without mistreating employees and while making artistic expression a priority. In just 10 months, the small team of five indie developers succeeded in producing its first title: Brand.
