Chaotic Multiplayer Slamjet Stadium Launches on iPad

Indie developer Alistair Aitcheson is excited to release his latest iPad game today. Slamjet Stadium is a deadly futuristic soccer variant played on hoverbikes, where the rules are there to be broken!

Wiltshire, United Kingdom -- March 14th 2013 -- One-man indie studio Alistair Aitcheson has released his brand new iPad game worldwide today. Slamjet Stadium is a futuristic evolution of soccer played on hoverbikes. Players share an iPad to challenge each other, and grabbing hands and stealing characters is fair game.

Developer Alistair Aitcheson designed the game to encourage people to get together and embrace physical play on the tablet. Players' hands act as physical obstacles, and both sneaky and boisterous play are encouraged. Power-ups, wormholes and deadly traps keep the flow of play constantly moving and offer surprising twists for inventive players.

Also included in the game is a single-player mode, where players take on gauntlets of A.I. opponents of increasing difficulty. Alongside nine selectable arenas are six playable teams, portrayed in the developer's own hand-drawn style. Drawing inspiration from wide-ranging sci-fi tropes, they run the gamut from bloated biker pigs to ageing sci-fi fanboys.

The game has proven incredibly popular at events around the UK since development began in August 2012. Design for the game was inspired by the developer's experience with Greedy Bankers vs The World, his previous iPad game. In Greedy Bankers, players could make higher scores by reaching across the screen and stealing items from their opponent's side.

"I fell in love with this incredibly physical play-style, where venturing into your opponent's space was part of the fun," said Alistair Aitcheson, the developer. "I was eager to up the ante - to make a game where foul play was core to the experience and where the physicality was turned up to 11."

Slamjet Stadium is out now worldwide for iPad, 2nd generation and later. For more information, visit, or contact Alistair Aitcheson for more details.
