Four months after the release of the Yatzy Ultimate, the dice classic that ruled the Appstores across Europe during the holiday season, Tesko Gaming are back with their latest addition to their Classics Re-Invented range, the Checkers.
Another highly addictive classic, Checkers or English Draughts as known in some cultures, comes with the now trademark Tesko Gaming simple and ergonomic design that made the Yatzy so popular among the gaming communities.
“We have been working on the Checkers ever since the release of Yatzy Ultimate and we tried to make it as realistic as possible” – explains Stefan Perdal, manager of Tesko Gaming and creative director of the Checkers project.
“The goal we set ourselves at the start was to make a product that will deliver real value to the players” – adds Mr. Perdal. “I believe we have done really great, so now we are really buzzing in anticipation to see the reaction of the players.”
Tesko Gaming hope to build on the huge success they had with the Yatzy Ultimate and keep the same instinctive gaming experience: “The way we see it, it’s always about keeping your players happy. We really want to make the gaming experience effortless for our players. People can just recognize quality when they see it” - continues Mr. Perdal.
The game is expected to be soon also available in the Windows Marketplace, as part of Tesko Gaming’s effort to address a broader consumer base. “The Windows Phone 7 edition of the Checkers/English Draughts is also very, very close. We are expecting it to be available in the Marketplace perhaps as soon as next week”.
Another game from Tesko Gaming’s Classics Re-invented range, Reversi, is now also available for the iOS and Windows Phone 7 devices. “Reversi for the iPhone and iPad, as well as for WP7 devices, is also out in the Apple Appstore and the Windows Marketplace. I have to say we are really happy to be back with two games that bring real quality and value to the players” – he adds.
