CHEWIE NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Immediate release

Chewie, Chewits’ iconic dinosaur, is trapped in an ancient castle and is calling on internet users and Chewits fans to help him escape.

The game features Chewie in a variety of locations and players have to complete a series of tasks, using their reasoning skills, to help him escape.

The new games are linked directly to Chewits’ Facebook fan page and are also available on www.chewits.co.uk. You can currently play in a creepy castle and an alien spaceship, with further episodes due to be released later in 2010.

The digital games have been launched by confectionery brand Chewits to thank its growing online fan base of Chewits lovers. From tweens to nostalgics, Chewits fans have been using the power of the internet to tell the brand exactly what they want to see on shelves. Last year, they brought back the popular Ice Cream flavour and now, people power has led to this year’s new flavour, Cola, being introduced.

Chewits marketing manager Tim Boote says:“The new game is lots of fun and will challenge both young and older internet users! Chewits’ online fans clearly love having their say and we’re delighted to introduce the flavours that people are asking for. Chewits not only has to stay relevant to its target audience, it has to be in tune with them. When we started engaging with people online, we found that they wanted to influence what happens next and the game is a fun way to thank fans for their loyalty.”

Chewits Cola stick pack is on sale from April priced from 30pence RRP.
