Chillingo, leading independent games publisher, and Aardman Digital, the online division of Aardman Animations, today launched a brand new iOS game, ‘Shaun the Sheep - Fleece Lightning’ on the iTunesApp Store, developed by indie development studio Green Ant Games.
“We are proud of our continued partnership with Aardman Digital to bring Shaun the Sheep – Fleece Lightning to the App Store,” states Chris Byatte, Co-General Manager and Co-Founder of Chillingo. “The game is phenomenal with its fun, addictive and intuitive controls that races players through mayhem and adventure; Shaun the Sheep fans will definitely not be disappointed,” adds Joe Wee, Co-General Manager and Co-Founder of Chillingo.
Shaun the Sheep - Fleece Lightning is a fast and furious racing game featuring the much-loved Aardman character Shaun the Sheep. Players race Shaun against the clock through themed tracks, littered with obstacles to beat the naughty pigs to the finish line. The game features speed boosters and picnic blanket power-jumps, allowing Shaun to run like lightning through the course, dodging trees, traffic cones and piles of sheep poo! The control options can be adapted to the player’s own preference, using touch, on-screen controls or tilt to navigate Shaun through the race. Players are also able to design and create their own tracks using a fully-featured yet simple level editor.
Dan Efergan, Creative Director at Aardman Digital says “How can you not love a frantic dash through the English countryside... albeit with messy mud, out of control tractors, and pigs fighting you for the farmyard's short supply of apples. Here at Aardman there's been a nice mix of happy giggling and frustrated shouting when playing, so we're excited to see this game finally released into the world. We're particularly chuffed with the level editor, and can't wait to see what fiendish tracks our fans are going to invent.”
Shaun the Sheep - Fleece Lightning is available now for just $.99 on the App Store
