ChinaJoy 2013 to Add Animation Area

The Organizing Committee of ChinaJoy recently announced that the Animation Area will be added to this year’s event, aiming to help further promote ChinaJoy’s diversified services as a distinguished game industry platform in China, to expand the range of industry sections on exhibition, to encourage international cooperation, and to boost the development of game and animation industries at home and abroad.

The Animation Area, covering an area of 2,000 square meters at Hall N5 of Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), is expected to attract more than 100 domestic and overseas exhibitors from animation industry. It will be China’s largest exhibition platform for animation producers and will be a magnificent feast for the industry players.

China PinkyHot Interactive Media Co. Ltd., authorized by Howell International Trade Fair Ltd., will recruit exhibitors for the Animation Area starting May 2013. PinkyHot has been working with many game enterprises at home and abroad for several years. With a profound knowledge of China’s animation industry, it has organized several Shanghai Comic Fantasia events, and has kept a close relationship with overseas animation copyright agents.

Howell International Trade Fair Ltd. and PinkyHot will work together to cover more derivative industries of the game industry, complete the industry chain of digital  entertainment, encourage interaction and cooperation between the game and animation industries for more growth possibilities.

The 11 th China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference (ChinaJoy 2013) will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre on July 25-28, 2013. ChinaJoy Cosplay Carnival founded in 2004 is China’s only top-level cosplay competition and has seen successes in the past decade. Last year’s ChinaJoy attracted a total of 190,000 visitors, with a single-day peak of over 60,000 on the second exhibition day.
