FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hoffman Estates, IL - Le Vamp was awarded Editor’s Choice and a featured spot in the New and Noteworthy section of the App Store. The innovative game stars a charming little vampire boy on the run from angry villagers through a dangerous forest.
Le Vamp offers a unique twist on the endless runner genre. Instead of directly controlling the character, as with competing titles, the player manipulates other elements in the game to help Le Vamp traverse the world and protect him from hazards. Simple gestures allow them to stun enemies, tap to destroy others, cut down trees to create makeshift bridges, and shield sunbeams from hitting the tiny vampire. Furthermore, the player must regularly feed Le Vamp blood by flicking absurdist critters known as “Blood Pigs” in order to remain one step ahead of the angry villagers. There’s a lot going on, but once you grasp these novel elements, the gameplay becomes very intuitive and the variety of actions are exactly what keeps Le Vamp interesting.
“There are a whole lot of infinite runner games out there and most of them play pretty much the same, but we felt that there was more that could be done with the genre.” said Kerry J. Ganofsky, CEO and founder of High Voltage Software. “Our moment of inspiration came when we realized that the player should protect Le Vamp, rather than control him.”
“The final result is an endless runner with a new twist, one that offers a solid challenge to fans of the genre while still being accessible to the casual players.” said Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer of High Voltage Software. “Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Le Vamp is so darned cute. Everyone that picks up the game immediately wants to protect the cute little guy!”
Le Vamp is now available on iTunes for $1.99 https://itunes.apple.com/app/id602727807
