Cryptstone Games Releases Free DLC for Star Prospector

Vancouver, BC, April 4th, 2012 -- Cryptstone Games today announced they have completed work on a new free DLC update for their strategy game Star Prospector.

The DLC includes the new game "Star Prospector -Tower Defender",  a tower defense style game complete with 8 maps, 4 difficulty levels, and a score based system for earning medals.

The update also includes many new features and improvements to the standard game. Turrets have been completely revamped with an upgrade system for increasing range, rotation speed, and damage. The vegetation system has been enhanced for richer and fuller environments, and the game interface has also been improved with the addition of queued build commands, quicksave, hotkey improvements, and many other features requested by players.

Players can now purchase perks throughout the game. This new system allows players to increase starting resources, improve ore yields, sell resources, and gain bonuses on recycled structures. The perk system, along with other overall balance changes,  provide more opportunity for players to better develop their rig, units and expand bases in game.
