Cultures Online is an international hit!

Hamburg, October 05, 2011 – Cultures Online, gamigo's hit browser-based building strategy game, isn't only popular in Europe. A Chinese version of the game was launched just a few days ago in cooperation with Taiwanese partners at Net Publishing. The game is now available in Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong under the melodious name “Bei Hai Ying Xiong” ????(Heroes of the North Sea).

Alongside this Chinese version, Cultures Online is already available in Russia (in cooperation with publishers Fabrika Online) and South Korea (Blackstone Publishing). An Arabic version will be launched in the Middle East by Game Power 7 in October. Japanese players will also be able to send their Vikings across the seven seas in late 2011 thanks to NHN Japan. Additional regions will also be added soon.

Patrick Streppel, Executive Board Member at gamigo, said this: "Cultures Online has been our greatest success story in terms of exporting games. Right from the beginning, international partners have been very interested in our games. Now we are reaping what we have sown through our team's hard work in cooperation with the developers and the fantastic job they have done. In the future we will focus even more on producing our own games connected to known brands."

About Cultures Online

Cultures Online, developed by the German developer studio Funatics, is the next step in the popular building strategy series "Cultures" and can be played in the browser window. Players build their own Viking village in the graphics style typical of the "Cultures" series. Heroes are used to increased the productivity of the village's workers or sent out to raid faraway lands. Their efforts are rewarded with experience points, gold and equipment.
