Deadmans Productions Brings Solitary Rain Drop to Life in “DrizzleDrop” - A New Game for Mobile Devices Inspired by

Troy, NY – October 6, 2011 - Deadmans Productions launched its latest game today called “DrizzleDrop,” with a commitment to donate a portion of its sales to residents of Upstate New York who were devastated from the recent storms.  Inspired by the torrential rains brought to the Northeast last month by Hurricane Irene, Deadmans Productions introduces “Drizzle the Raindrop,” one solitary raindrop on a journey from high in the sky.  DrizzleDrop is targeted towards all age groups.

“Deadmans Productions came very close to literally being washed away by both Hurricane Irene and the torrential rains that followed it,” said Michael Ridley, CEO and Founder of Deadmans Productions.  “Our small office is located in the basement of a three-story building in Troy, New York.  Just two blocks from us, buildings were severely flooded.  For two days we could not even get to our Deadmans office space.  Thankfully, our space was spared from any damage and we are gratefully moving full steam ahead.”

Ridley said that Deadmans Productions will donate a portion of the profits of this game to help victims of the flood recover.  “Unless you see the damage, it’s hard to imagine the devastation that has occurred in these small communities,” Ridley said.  “In some instances, whole towns have essentially disappeared.  It’s very sad.  We’d like to do what we can to offer assistance.  It could very easily have been us trying to rebuild everything we’ve worked so hard to create.”

“After watching it downpour for so many days, it only seemed natural to make a game based on rain,”  said William Houser, the Deadmans Productions game designer who came up with the initial concept.   “Instead of letting the weather get us down, we instead attempted to add levity to a very devastating situation by creating something that is playful and fun.”

DrizzleDrop is a game where players help Drizzle the Raindrop through a maze of obstacles.  Throughout the game, Drizzle turns from liquid form to both ice and steam to enhance game play and to maximize points.  The game is physics-based - it only requires the user to tilt the device from side to side using the advanced motion sensors inside the iOS machines.

“We wanted to give the game the same type of game play that a little drop of water would have if it were on your screen,” said Ridley.  “I think we did a good job of mimicking the physics as well as introducing playful graphics, catchy sounds and addictive background music.  The game play intuitiveness makes it addictive, cute and fun.

If DrizzleDrop proves to be a popular game, Deadmans Productions plans to expand this game to give Drizzle many adventures in several different locations.  “We have a whole storyline and world we would like to create around the character Drizzle,” said Ridley.  “However, obviously it makes sense to see how the public responds to this cute little character before we proceed with more in-depth game play.”

Deadmans Productions, LLC is a startup company located in Troy, NY, that is creating entertainment-based apps for the iOS and ANDROID platforms.  DrizzleDrop is currently available in the  iTunesTM store for iOSTM devices.  More information about Deadmans Productions and DrizzleDrop can be found at www . deadmansproductions . com.
