Death Rally: Getting the most Bang for your Buck– With a $0.99 campaign price tag, Death Rally shoots its way to a #1 spot

Remedy's top down racer Death Rally hit the App Store in late March to critical acclaim. Most noted by the press was not only the pure quality of the game but also the Max Payne and Alan Wake developers crazy promise to be the first developer to deliver a console quality game with a constant stream of updates to its players in the form of tracks, cars, weapons, new challenges and even multiplayer.

Remedy, in co-operation with Minigore developers Mountain Sheep have done nothing less than live up to this promise, delivering 4 massive updates in a matter of 6 weeks from launch making Death Rally the hottest bargain on the App Store, and there is more coming says the developer. Markus Mäki, CTO of Remedy said, "We are committed to this project and we have every intention to keep investing directly back into the development of the game. iOS as a platform is awesome in the sense that getting updates to the fans is so easy, and I'll tell you, we've got some really fantastic updates coming up."

Speaking of value for money, the developers also chose to make Death Rally a Universal App, meaning a one-time purchase works on all iOS devices. Aki Järvilehto, EVP at Remedy said, "We're really happy to offer this as a Universal App so the fans won't need to buy Death Rally twice for separate devices. But to be really fair to the gamers out there, we took it a step further. Death Rally has been individually optimized for each supported iOS device, automatically detecting the device and setting the perfect configuration. iPhone users will enjoy optimized controls whilst iPad 2 players will enjoy gorgeous full screen anti-aliasing and 60FPS."

About Death Rally

Death Rally is an intensive, action packed top-down racing game with addictive gameplay and guns, lots of guns. Make a run for the finish line with a trail of burnt rubber and spent brass behind you… along with the flaming wreckage of any fool dumb enough to get in your way.
