According to the Organizing Committee of the 6 th China Game Developers Conference (CGDC 2013), Mr. Chris Whiteside, chief designer of ArenaNet and design director of Guild Wars 2 studio, will be present at the most influential game developer conference in China on the 28 th of July 2013, acting as one of its keynote speakers.

What did it take to ship the most critically-acclaimed MMO of 2012? ArenaNet's Design Director Chris Whiteside provides you with a behind-the-scenes look at the launch year of GUILD WARS 2,and what was required to ship a massive online world and look inside the processes and best working practices of a Triple A MMO game studio. Chris will also explain how ArenaNet had to quickly shift their focus from game development to supporting a constantly evolving live game played by millions around the world.

Chris Whiteside is the Studio Design Director at ArenaNet. With a background in game design, production, and team building, Chris has worked in a director role for studios around the world on titles such as Pursuit Force, Need for Speed, Race Driver, Colin McCrae Rally and many more. In his role as Lead Producer, Chris helped launch the award-winning GUILD WARS 2 at ArenaNet, where he now serves as Studio Design Director.

According to the Organizing Committee of the 6 th China Game Developers Conference (CGDC 2013), Mr. David Helgason, founder and CEO of Unity Technologies, will be present at the most influential game developer conference in China on the 26 th of July 2013, acting as one of its keynote speakers.

Chief Producer of Temple Run Keith Shepherd Obtain Keynote of CGDC2013

According to the Organizing Committee of the 6 th China Game Developers Conference (CGDC 2013),Mr. Keith Shepherd, co-founder and CEO of Imangi Studios, will be present at the most influential game developer conference in China on the 27 th of July 2013, acting as one of its keynote speakers.

Imangi Studios was founded by husband and wife team Keith Shepherd and Natalia Luckyanova in 2008 with the goal of creating small fun games for everyone to enjoy. What started as a dream job for the couple has evolved into a successful business, with Keith and Natalia now working with a team of other talented game creators. In 2011, the studio developed the mega-hit Temple Run, which has been downloaded hundreds of millions of times. Based in North Carolina, the self-funded, fully independent studio has also developed a number of other games including Harbor Master, Temple Run: Brave, and Temple Run: Oz.
