Digital Chocolate and Spil Games partner to bring award-winning social games to global online audience

HILVERSUM, Netherlands – April 4, 2012 – Spil Games, a global leader in online gaming, today announced a partnership with leading cross-platform social game developer Digital Chocolate. The partnership will give Digital Chocolate access to Spil Games’ massive global audience of more than 170 million monthly unique users for its groundbreaking sci-fi game, Galaxy Life, while adding to Spil Games’ growing catalogue of entertaining social games for teens and families.

As part of the partnership, dedicated teams from Spil Games and Digital Chocolate will work closely together to ensure that Galaxy Life and future titles are optimised for maximum exposure, revenue and longevity across all Spil Games platforms. Additionally, the Spil Games API will give Digital Chocolate the ability to quickly and easily scale across multiple languages, reaching a wide, global audience.

“Spil Games’ impressive global user base and expertise in reaching targeted segments like teens and families made this a natural fit,” said Jason Loia, Digital Chocolate COO. “Moreover, they were able to customise their offering to our needs and take on the cost and effort of marketing our games to their audience.  This enables our developers to focus on what they’re best at – developing unique and exciting cross-platform social games without worrying about user acquisition costs.”

“Galaxy Life is a welcome addition to the Spil Games social games collection,” said Peter Driessen, Spil Games CEO. “This partnership is another indication that our unique offering, which enables developers to achieve revenue, as well as scale across multiple age segments and languages, resonates with the AAA developer community.”

Galaxy Life – a free-to-play game that challenges users to compete with friends and strangers for intergalactic reign – will be available across Spil Games’ social gaming platforms beginning in April, with more Digital Chocolate games to follow. Spil Game’s social-gaming platforms are offered in 19 languages, including tailored channels for girls ( www.girlsgogames.com), teens ( www.agame.com), and families ( www.gamesgames.com).
