Dissecta Presents Student Developer: Chris Pelling and Mayhem Intergalactic

Melbourne, Australia 13 March 2008 - Video game seminar and networking event organiser Dissecta is pleased to announce“Dissecta Presents Student Developer: Chris Pelling and Mayhem Intergalactic,” the third Dissecta event for 2008. Dissecta Presents Student Developer: Chris Pelling and Mayhem Intergalactic will be held in Melbourne at the Australian Games Innovation Centre Friday evening 28 March 2008.

Chris Pelling of Inventive Dingo was Australia's only finalist in the 10th Annual Independent Games Festival Student Competition judged recently at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

In this special Friday evening Dissecta event, Chris will give a development history of his game Mayhem Intergalactic, a demonstration, and an account of his experiences with the Independent Games Festival. Chris, a student at the Australian National University located in the capital of Australia, Canberra, will also discuss the challenges facing student developers and take a Q&A.

Chris describes Mayhem Intergalactic as“a simple yet engaging strategy game. Easy to learn and quick to play, Mayhem Intergalactic is still surprisingly strategic.” Mayhem Intergalactic invites players to wage war on their friends and enemies, playing against the computer or over the internet in multiplayer.

Dissecta Presents Student Developer: Chris Pelling and Mayhem Intergalactic is a free event to be held Friday 28 March 2008 at the Game Developers' Association of Australia's Australian Games Innovation Centre (the Academy of Interactive Entertainment's Presentation Room), in Atari Building, 14 Queens Road Melbourne, Australia (opposite Albert Park Lake).
