New York, NY– July 19, 2007– 2K Sports, the sports publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), announced today the All Pro tour, featuring headliner DJ Z-Trip, one of the world’s most celebrated DJs and producers. The tour kicks off on July 23rd in Sacramento, CA, and is heading coast-to-coast to showcase 2K Sports’ All-Pro Football 2K8 and the joint soundtrack release with Decon Records called All Pro. Joining DJ Z-Trip for roughly two dozen dates are Aceyalone and Gift of Gab, both of which appear on All Pro, the CD of remixes, mash-ups and original material that DJ Z-Trip produced for the game.
In addition to DJ Z-Trip, Aceyalone and Gift of Gab, other artists who appear on the soundtrack, such as Rakim and M-1, are expected to make guest appearances along the tour route. Beyond the rhymers and beats, tour stops will feature kiosks with All-Pro Football 2K8 and a multi-media component to DJ Z-Trip’s performance that integrates some of the game’s most intense plays.
“It’s rare when an artist can design an original soundtrack that integrates seamlessly into a video game and then transition that to a live setting,” said Tim Rosa, 2K Sports’ Director of Brand and Lifestyle Marketing.“DJ Z-Trip has accomplished this feat, so we’re excited to introduce his live mix show with various musicians and emcees from the soundtrack coupled with a live VJ kicking out visuals– this is going to be a sick show.”
