Dual victory for Snowboard Hero at the IMGAwards

Hamburg, Germany, 17 February 2011– Snowboard Hero™ will appear on the iPhone™ and iPod™ touch during this snowboard season. The Java version of the fun snowboard game has already raked in the prizes and was selected as third-best game in the PocketGamer analysis of 2008.The completely revised iPhone version has already won twice at the IMGAwards, before it was even released. At the award ceremony during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Snowboard Hero™ won in the categories Best Sports Game and Operators Choice.

In the fast-paced snowboard game, breathtaking jumps and fantastic tricks count along with speed. In the competition with experienced snowboard pros, players have to perform as many unbelievable tricks as possible during the long flight phase in order to earn serious points. Breakneck descents have to be mastered in five different disciplines, which can be combined as desired to create demanding races for time, points, and gates.

Players can also change the appearance and the characteristics of their characters. Special boards can improve agility, speed, boost, and jumps.

‘The IMGAwards are the fairest and most important competition for mobile games that there is, because, on the one hand, the decision is made by an extremely expert jury composed of experienced industry professionals such as mobile games journalists, 3D-graphics chip manufacturers, and network operators, and on the other hand, the Mobile World Congress is the most important event in the industry, making it a perfect occasion with guaranteed global attention,’ comments Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs Entertainment.‘All the more reason for us to be pleased that we scored such a hit with Snowboard Hero.’

Snowboard Hero™ iPhone is expected to be available for download in the App Store in March 2011 at a price of $ 6.99/€ 5.49/£ 3.99.
