Electronic Sports League announces the ESL Brink Championship

The ESL Brink Championship will be played in the stopwatch mode of the game aiming at determining the best team in Europe. The teams, consisting of five players each, may qualify for the main season of the tournament through a series of qualifier cups. The registration process for those cups will start on May 15.

The main season of the Championship is planned to launch on June 13, 2011. The best sixteen teams will be divided into four groups of four. Top two teams from each of the group will advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament. The best two of them will face each other in front of the live audience at gamescom 2011 (August 18– 21), where the grand final of the Championship will be played. The total prize money of the tournament is 15,000 Euro.
