Epic Games Supports GameHorizon Network with Headline Sponsorship

In 2010, the GameHorizon collaborative games network evolved from a regional body to a national network and opened its doors to both UK games companies and games professionals alike. As a result, the membership has increased by 40 percent and stimulated cross-company collaboration to new levels.

GameHorizon is now completely funded privately, sustained by membership, private contracts and sponsorship from the games and technology sectors.

“We are pleased to have the support of Epic Games and already our members have seen solid benefits from this partnership, with Vice President Mark Rein recently flying over from the US to keynote our Go Go Games mobile industry event,” said Carri Cunliffe, head of GameHorizon.

“We strongly believe in the UK development community,” said Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games.“Participating in events such as Go Go Games and GameHorizon is a good way for us to show it. Our new European Territory Manager, Mike Gamble, is a trusted industry vet dedicated to helping developers achieve success with our technology and we have more events planned for the UK later this year.”

Darren Jobling GameHorizon Chairman said,“This major industry player brings kudos to the network and exposes members to a wealth of knowledge, new technology and contacts.”

Epic Games will present at the industry's leading executive-level GameHorizon Conference, which will take place in Newcastle June 28-29. More information and registration details are available on the official conference website www.gamehorizonconference.com.
