Escape to Slot Paradise! PLAYSTUDIOS Launches New Game, Mirage, for Facebook Fans

Burlingame, CA and Las Vegas, NV – May 2, 2013 - PLAY STUDIOS, a game development company focusing on free-to-play casino games, today announced the launch of a new title within myVEGAS called Mirage. This slot-style game features a lush tropical oasis and playful characters inspired by Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. With today’s release, the new game joins the series of 10 social casino games developed by PLAY STUDIOS for its popular Facebook application, including the recently added ancient Egypt-themed Luxor God of Odds and a Jules Verne-inspired Around the World in 80 Plays.

“Our audience has grown to over three million active players in recent months due to our focus on high quality gaming and bringing authentic branded experiences into myVEGAS. Mirage is the latest game to exemplify our team’s dedication to developing engaging experiences with leading luxury brands like The Mirage Hotel & Casino,” said Andrew Pascal, founder, president and chief executive officer of PLAY STUDIOS.

“Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage is dedicated to awareness and conservation of rare species. By bringing this destination to life in myVEGAS, we’re able to further engage millions of players online with our property in a way that’s both entertaining and rewarding,” said Tom Mikulich, Senior Vice President of Business Development at MGM Resorts International.

Inspired by the watershed resort that shares its name, Mirage is a 30-line slot game with 3x5 reels, featuring a cast of adorable animals and their trainers set in a tropical oasis. Players can accumulate bonus symbols that activate free spins and a Dolphin Jump Hi-Low Bonus. When activated, Daphne the Dolphin leaps from the turquoise waters of her habitat to pop a series of 5 suspended balloons. Each balloon contains a hidden number. Players pick Hi or Low before each graceful leap to indicate the new number’s value relative to the previous one. Guessing correctly all five times will award players with an extra bonus and bejeweled trophies. During the game, players can also accrue status and myVEGAS collectibles.

myVEGAS players can earn loyalty points by playing Mirage and can redeem the points for a growing selection of valuable real-world rewards. Players can choose from special dining offers by Wolfgang Puck, and free Las Vegas rooms, meals, show tickets and more from some of the hottest resorts in town, including Bellagio, ARIA, Vdara, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Luxor, Excalibur, and Circus Circus.
