ESL Brink Championship kicks off!

On May 23 the ESL Brink Championship will kick off with the first matches of the qualification round of the tournament. Starting from Monday, the Electronic Sports League (ESL) will host a series of qualifier cups in the European section of the league. Teams will be able to join their respective national qualifier or go through an international one. The sign-ups for the cups opened on Sunday, May 15 - two days after the official premiere of Brink. The competition will be held in the stopwatch mode of the game. The qualification round will determine the best sixteen Brink teams in Europe, that will face each other in the main season of the tournament. The ESL Brink Championship is the first international tournament in Brink - an innovative first-person-shooter developed by Splash Damage and published by Bethesda Softworks. It will gather the best teams from all over Europe, which will face each other in the online competition and at the finals of the tournament held at gamescom 2011 in Cologne, Germany. Top teams will be awarded a share of 15,000 Euro prize pot.
