Berlin, April 13th 2012: A special treat for the ears will be coming next week: Online games publisher Infernum has secured an international all-star lineup of actors who have, amongst others, fittingly voiced the cartoon hero “SpongeBob Squarepants”.
The German, French, Spanish, Turkish and Polish voice acting veterans have also starred in localized versions of TV shows such as The Simpsons, Pokémon, South Park and Scooby-Doo and will bring Brick-Force to life with their vocal energy. Infernum chose the talents of the “SpongeBob” stars to complement the playful square design of the free-to-play title – after all, the Brick-Force characters also wear square pants!
The English version will feature Kerry Shale, a veteran stage and screen actor who has voiced several video game characters. Shale's many videogame voice credits include Driver: San Francisco, Blood Stone, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider Chronicles, Dog's Life, Original War, Big Mutha Truckers, Killzone, Fable, Space Channel 5: Part 2, Blade II, Vietcong, Vietcong 2, Vietcong: Fist Alpha, Urban Chaos, Imperium Galactica II: Alliances and Battalion Wars. Shale has provided more voices for more video games than any other actor and more voices in a single video game than any other actor.
Still in closed beta, Brick-Force has now exceeded 500,000 registered users and has been localized in six different languages. The sandbox shooter’s open beta will be launched within the next few weeks. Anyone can register for a game account on the official website www.brick-force.com.
Brick-Force – Build, Share, Play
This sandbox shooter allows players to create worlds and maps that they’ve always dreamed of, brick by brick. They can also share these virtual playgrounds with the community and use them as the backdrop for fast paced shooter hunts against fellow players or computerized opponents. This comic style online game is built on the ‘Unity 3D’ engine and will be playable directly in a web browser. The
‘sandbox’ mode, in which players use simple building blocks to construct complex environments, can be played on social networks and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Brick-Force is being developed by Korean game developer EXE Games as a co-production with Infernum. The closed
beta was launched on the February 28th, 2012. Open beta and release will follow in Spring 2012.
Several language versions are planned. More information can be found at www.brick-force.com.
